Simba Sleep Review

You may have seen me talk a lot about sleep over the years.

I am somebody who has been a poor sleeper for most of my adult life, and it’s well known that there are links between sleep quality and mental health. I certainly find things much more difficult when I’m tired!

I have been super lucky to have been gifted the Simba Sleep Hybrid Duvet to try out, so I wanted to share my thoughts!

I upgraded my bedding last year and part of that was a big thick duvet – what I didn’t account for now that it is getting warmer is quite how hot it would be in the spring and summer months, so this was a great opportunity now the weather is heating up to try an alternative. Being an uncomfortable temperature can really affect how well I sleep, and that’s even more true when I am too hot rather than too cold.

The Hybrid Duvet is a concept I’ve not come across before – it’s essentially three duvets in one of various different tog ratings. There is a light summer option, a slightly thicker one, and then the option to combine them for the colder months. This week I’ve noticed it has been particularly warmer so it was the perfect time to try out a lighter version than the one I have been using all winter.

I definitely had a much better sleep! I can’t sleep without a duvet even when it’s really hot, so sometimes I just suffer through it, but it was really nice to be able to still have a cover over me without overheating. I think this is going to make a big difference to my sleep quality in the summer – it looks like we are coming into some much warmer weather over the next few weeks. It’s also SO easy to either swap it out or double it up with the slightly heavier version, so with the ever changing British weather I anticipate this being super convenient.

There are also lots of different options of bed pillows and mattresses to explore on their website if you are looking to upgrade your sleep experience.

Sleep hygiene is super important, part of which is about your bedding experience, but there’s also lots of other contributing factors too like comfy pyjamas, not using your phone too late, not drinking caffeine and having a nice quiet, dark space.

I’d love to hear some of your bed time tips for good sleep too!
