My Favourite Travel Memories

As I am on a little backpacking trip this month, I thought I would do a couple of travel themed posts!

Travelling opens your eyes to so many amazing experiences. I wanted to share some of my absolute favourites with you.

Swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines. I am terrified of the sea, especially deep water, so I basically just clung to the side of the boat hyperventilating for like 10 minutes (glamorous right?). But when I finally forced myself to swim, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my whole life. They are huge but so beautiful and peaceful. I have a tattoo of one now to remember it.

Horse riding in the sea in Bali. I used to have a horse when I was younger and I adore them. Unfortunately I am allergic so I got a pretty bad rash afterwards but it was 100% worth it to gallop bareback on the beach.

Beer bike in Budapest. My friends and I went to Budapest for one of their birthday’s a few years back and the beer bike was absolutely hilarious and so much fun. Random people were hopping on and off and at one point we were having to hand people beer in the street because there was SO much of it! It’s actually really hard too, you really have to put a lot of effort in to get it moving.

Crazy Shark in Cyprus. I am pretty afraid of the sea so this was one of the first times I really challenged that – it was a brave holiday for me! It’s basically an enormous inflatable that you sit on that gets pulled along by a speed boat and is hands down one of the most fun things I’ve ever done.

Quad biking in Cambodia. I saw real water buffalo including little babies bathing in the rivers and got to go all through the little villages. Then we got to watch the sunset and it was so beautiful!

Joe’s Garage in Portugal. When I went to Portugal with a group of friends one of them told us that this was the best bar they had ever been to in the world. I definitely thought it would end up being disappointing with such great reviews to live up to but I can confirm now, that it is the best bar I have ever been to in the world.

Snorkelling boat trip in Greece. This was my first ever snorkelling trip and it was so fun! We got to see so much beautiful landscape and there were loads of cool fish. It lasted all day and was such a fun day out.

The Panda’s in Edinburgh Zoo. Panda’s are one of my favourite animals. This is because my cat is called Panda and it reminds me of my cat, who I adore. When I went to Edinburgh I finally got to see a panda in real life and they were every bit as amazing as I’d hoped they would be!

  2. I’m catching up with all of May’s blogs, May was a bit of a write off for me. I loved reading this you’ve been to some very beautiful places and done some excellent excursions in these places. I’m glad you pushed yourself to do things you weren’t comfortable with thanks so much for posts like this ❤️❤️❤️

      • I’m feeling really good, I had some new tests done I was a bit of a guinea pig it’s not being used on everyone, it’s genealogy and DNA based, but they match you’re DNA to the antidepressants and anti anxiety medication that will suit your genetic make up, they found that I have a Birch allergy (oral allergy) if you look it up you’ll see around 37-38 foodstuffs that can be cross pollinated that you can be very allergic to, that’s on top of the acute Serotonin Deficiency so I was born with these and we’ve only found out now I’m 43. You’ll be surprised at the food stuffs that I shouldn’t eat for both illnesses!!!

        Let’s just say now I’m weened off of the old meds and on the new I’m clear headed, the NHS said it was a waste of time seeing a dietician and refused to refer me so I went online put my case notes into a Website and had people bidding to work with me I’ve been under a dietician now for 6 weeks detoxed and found a good set of foods I used to eat 1-2 times a day had a really bad relationship with food so just ate crap that didn’t make me feel bad, but now I’m eating 4-6 times a day without any exercise apart from work I’ve lost 1.5 stone and I went on holiday to Spain for a week, but I feel so much better no stomach pain, no acid reflux no headaches and I have so much energy I wake up before my alarms, I do have some bad thoughts go through my head like “why me” “why am I special enough to get these tests” they’ve changed my life, when I was growing up I thought everyone felt like I did so I always tried to help people make them feel better, I do feel let down that people didn’t see I was struggling or maybe I’m just a really good actor, I don’t know lol I need to live now instead of just surviving day to day, thank you for asking beautiful and sorry it was a long winded answer and my grammar is pretty poor xxxxx
