My Christmas Eve Traditions

One thing I love about Christmas is hearing about everyone’s individual little traditions.

We all seems to develop our own over the years; some are family traditions are some we develop ourselves over time. I have a fairly set Christmas Eve routine now and I wanted to share it with you all!

Baking:
I always bake things for my family at Christmas: fudge, truffles, cookies, all sorts! I like to do this on Christmas Eve because then it’s all lovely and fresh. I think I’ve made fudge the most because it always seems the most popular – I’m not sure what it will be this year!

Pyjamas:
I get my pyjamas on as early as possible! Last year was the first year I ever got a Christmas Eve box and it had brand new pyjamas, so maybe this is a new tradition for me to start including?

Prosecco:
I get myself a bottle of prosecco (or last year I got one in my box!) and settle down in front of the telly to watch my favourite Christmas Eve film…

The Nightmare Before Christmas:
It’s been one of my favourite films since I was a child and I’ve lost count of the amount of times I’ve seen it. And yes, it is a Christmas film and not a Halloween film!

Hot Chocolate:
Right before bed I make myself a hot chocolate with all the trimmings and talk over how Christmas Day is going to go to get myself excited!

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas tomorrow and enjoy your Christmas Eve! What are some of your favourite traditions?
